WRCC are taking part in the Forth Valley Indoor Sixes Tournamenent, and after a false start due to a power failure during their match against St Modans, a mixture of youth and experience combined to defeat Stenhousemuir last Friday.

" Batting first,  Westquarter got off to a flying start,  making 49 before the first wicket fell.  The innings developed well, as  they managed to keep up the tempo, to finish on 123 for 4 after 10 overs.  Top scorers for Westquarter; Hamad Mumtaz  35 not out and Umar Aslam 29 not out.  The young Stenhousemuir team augmented by three of the Forth Valley U18’s and captained by Stenhousemuir coach Stewart Williamson worked hard chasing a daunting total. After a fine team effort,  the young side missed out by two runs on the last ball of the inning.  Their final score 122 for 4, top scorers for Stenhousemuir; Cameron Coults 28 and Stewart Williamson not out 25.  Congratulations too to Westquarters young Forth Valley development players Adham Aslam and Stephan Kuriakose who played their part in their clubs win. "
